Tigersharks Start Season Saturday

The Commerce Tigersharks continued to prepare for their season opener Saturday, the Pentathlon at the Winder YMCA.

The meet, which will feature a number of swim teams, will consist of each swimmer competing in five events – each swimming stroke plus an individual medley. [Full Story »]

The Commerce Tiger Sharks swim team is ready to get its summer season under way.

More than 60 swimmers have signed up for the 2008 season.

The Tiger Sharks will compete in several meets, including two they’ll host, the first on July 10, and the second on July 15.

The Jefferson Sea Dragons are prepared to start their 2008 season.

On Tuesday, the Sea Dragons held a mock meet at the Jefferson City Pool to prepare for the first actual meet on Thursday.

Summer Season Opens In Commerce

There’s one easy way to tell that summer has arrived in Commerce.

That’s when the pool at the American Veterans Memorial Park Aquatics Center opens for the season.
Monday was opening day for the pool, as several swimmers and fun seekers hit the waters to seek relief from the heat.
