Heritage High School: Conyers, Georgia has an immediate opening for a defensive line coach and special education teacher. Up and coming program, with players who work their tails off to get better. We have the pieces in place to be good, just need some more good coaches. Preferable experience of playing college football and or coaching in college.

The Banks County High School football team was in the middle of a hotly contested game against region foe Jefferson last Friday night.

The visiting Dragons entered the contest undefeated and basically unchallenged. No opponent had been able to come close to slowing down Jefferson’s spread offense, which seemed to be getting even more potent with each passing game.

The BCHS Leopards, however, made it known early on they were not going quietly. Coach Blair Armstrong’s team was prepared to give the Dragons their toughest challenge of the season. It was obvious from the opening kickoff. [ Full Story » ]

High school football has been described as the All-American sport.

From the heartland of America to all four corners of our great nation, the gridiron sport at this level is indeed something to behold. There is simply something special about Friday night at the local stadium.

In Homer — and at Banks County High School — football is a family tradition for the Bowens. Senior Justin Bowen is a standout player for the Leopards. During the past four years, Justin has grown into one of the top members of the BCHS team. [ Full Story » ]

It’s almost another Friday night and everyone in Northeast Georgia knows what that means: it is time for some football.

Jackson County gets back on the field this week after an off week to face Prince Avenue.

The Panthers have been a team that I think has surprised a lot of people in only two games. Honestly I don’t think anyone expected the Panthers to win against Sonoraville, but the fight Jackson County put up and to only lose by two points shows that coach Kirk has turned the ship around for JCCHS’s football program.
