Bulldoggs set to be factor in region race

The first half of the season has seen the Winder-Barrow High School boys basketball team post 10 wins and move into position to make some noise in subregion play.

For first-year WBHS coach David Sokol, the credit, he says, goes to the players for the 10-2 start to the 2009-2010 campaign.

The winning ways continued for the Winder-Barrow High School boys basketball Monday and Tuesday.

The Bulldoggs defeated Sprayberry 62-55 in an opening-round game of the Deep South Classic hosted by Brookwood High School. Alonzo Nelson-Odado scored a game-high 22 points to pace coach David Skokol’s team.
Jamias Davis finished with 13 points while Trent Demeritte added 12 for WBHS. [Full Story »]
