With a new season drawing closer with each passing day, the Winder-Barrow High School football team seems to be on the right track for turning its past misfortunes around.
Heath Webb and his coaches and players recently attended a camp in Carrollton and had the chance to compete against some of the top programs in the state including Camden County, Peachtree Ridge and North Gwinnett.
“We had the chance to line up against top of the line programs and see where we were as a program,” Webb said.
While the camps were not conducted in full pads, players were able to practice in shoulder pads and helmets and there was plenty of contact made.
