The Jefferson Lady Dragons volleyball team saw their post-season come to an end Saturday in the first round of state tournament play, as they lost in a best of five match to Hebron Christian Academy.

The Lady Panthers volleyball team of Jackson County saw its season come to a close over the weekend, as they lost in the first round of region play.

On Saturday, the Lady Panthers were defeated by the Lady Eagles of Eastside 2-0, with set scores of 26-24 and 25-18.

The Jefferson Lady Dragons volleyball team moved into the post season with area tournament play last week, facing Athens Christian, North Oconee and Athens Academy.

State playoff action begins on Saturday, when the Lady Dragons face off against Hebron Christian.

Jackson County’s Lady Panthers moved closer to the end of its regular season last week with matches against Tallulah Falls, East Jackson, Apalachee and Madison County.

Jackson County now begins preparation for area tournament play, which begins on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Jackson County started last Tuesday with a match against Tallulah Falls, which they lost 2-0, with set scores of 25-21 and 25-18. [Full Story »] 

Lady Dragons go undefeated in region

The Jefferson Lady Dragons closed out their regular season last week, and now moves into the post-season with area tournament play.

Jefferson finished the regular season 21-8 overall, 8-0 in region play and finished in first place in Area 8 A/AA North.

They will face North Oconee on Thursday in the area tournament against the winner of the south play-in match on Tuesday night. [Full Story »]

The Jackson County Lady Panthers are looking to put a couple more wins on the board this week after suffering losses to Apalachee and Morgan County.

Jackson County will next face Apalachee and Madison County at Apalachee on Thursday.

Jefferson hosts Tallulah Falls, Prince Ave. Thurs.

The Jefferson Lady Dragons volleyball team saw their winning streak snapped last week. After picking up wins against Eastside, East Jackson, Athens Christian and Prince Avenue, Jefferson fell last Thursday to North Oconee.

EJCHS Prepares For Postseason

The East Jackson Lady Eagles hope to start their postseason on a high note.

The Lady Eagles face a play-in match next Tuesday as the fifth seed from their side of the area for a chance to get into the area tournament. They will face either Tallulah Falls or Rabun County, depending on the outcome of games this week.

Last week didn’t give the Lady Eagles the boost they needed. After playing well the previous week, including a win against Gainesville, they lost to Jefferson and Eastside last Tuesday. [Full Story »]

The Jefferson Lady Dragon volleyball team has now won 14 matches in a row, and remains unbeaten in area play with a 7-0 record.

The Lady Dragons will next travel to Prince Avenue to face the Lady Wolverines as well as Athens Christian and North Oconee.
