Tigersharks Send Ten To State Meet

Ten Commerce Tigersharks qualified for state competition this weekend with their performances in the District Championships at the Habersham Aquatic Center.

Twenty-five members of the Commerce team traveled to the center, which is just outside of Clarkesville. Each swimmer could compete in a maximum of four events – two individual events and two relays – with the top three finishers in each event qualifying for the state championships. [Full Story »]

The Commerce Tigersharks had a weekend off, but still used the off week to prepare for their upcoming meets.

Coming off strong performances at the Dacula Invitational on June 28, where the Tigersharks racked up 25 top ten finishes, the team extended some of its practices in anticipation of Thursday’s home stand against the Jefferson Sea Dragons and Saturday’s District Meet in Habersham County.

The Commerce Tigersharks had a successful outing on Saturday, as 21 swimmers traveled to Gwinnett County for the Dacula Invitational.

The Commerce Tigersharks kicked off their 2008 season Saturday as they traveled to Winder for the Pentathlon.

Four Tigersharks placed in their age division. They were Taylor Lacey, Brandon Liles, Kendall Moon and Hannah Lacey.
