Despite entering the post season with high hopes, the Lady Dragons of Jefferson saw their region tournament play come to an end Saturday, as they fell to Fannin County in the opening game of the region tournament.

Friday’s game opened with the Lady Dragons taking an early advantage, moving out to a 9-5 lead by the end of the first quarter. Jefferson would increase their lead to six points in the second quarter, as they moved out to a 15-9 lead by the end of the half. [Full Story »]

The Lady Dragons of Jefferson turn their attention this week to region tournament play after wrapping up their regular season Monday.

Jefferson ended their season by splitting games with Banks County and North Oconee.

The Lady Dragons will begin region tourney play on Saturday at Dawson County, where they will face either Fannin County or Rabun County. [Full Story »]

Despite dropping a game last week to Walnut Grove, the Lady Dragons of Jefferson bounced back to defeat Oglethorpe and East Jackson to lock themselves into third place in the sub-region with the final regular season game set to be played this week.

That game is slated for Friday, as the Lady Dragons travel to North Oconee to face the Lady Titans.

After two wins and a loss last week, the Lady Dragons of Jefferson are now within shouting distance of the two region leaders with the regular season winding down.

The Lady Dragons will host their final home game of the regular season Friday night, as Oglethorpe County comes to Jefferson on senior night.

The Lady Dragons were victorious in the last meeting of the two teams, winning 50-16 back on Jan. 15. [Full Story »]

It was a close, rough and tumble game Friday night, but in the end, the Jefferson Lady Dragons came away with a region victory in overtime over in-county rivals East Jackson for their second region win of the season.

Up next is a rematch with another in-county rival, the Lady Tigers of Commerce. Jefferson is looking to follow up a win over Commerce earlier this month with another victory.

It was another up and down week for the Jefferson Lady Dragons, as their first region win of the year against Oglethorpe County was sandwiched between losses to Walnut Grove and Union County.

Up next for the Lady Dragons is a game as important for bragging rights as it is for its affect on their region standings, as they play host to the Lady Eagles of East Jackson on Friday.

The Lady Dragons of Jefferson picked up their first victory of the season during the holiday break with a victory over North Paulding during the Pickens County tournament last week.

Now they look towards the start of region play, as they will host Banks County at home on Friday.

The Jefferson Lady Dragons opened tournament play in Pickens County with a loss to the Lady Longhorns of Kell Monday night.

Following tournament play, the Lady Dragons will resume their regular season on Tuesday when they play host to Mountain View.
