Jefferson wins district Dizzy Dean title

Jefferson to host tourney Friday

Jefferson’s park and rec baseball teams saw success in several places, and teams traveled around the area to take part in the Dizzy Dean district tournaments over the weekend.

Jefferson started out the 10-under tournament by defeating Jackson County Saturday morning, then moving on to defeat Towns County Saturday afternoon. Jefferson then fell to Fannin County on Monday, and was slated to faced Hall County in the losers’ bracket Tuesday evening. Results of that game were unavailable at press time. [Full Story »]
