Last week’s Dizzy Dean 11-year-old World Series title game, held at East Hall Park in Nicholson, was a blow-out of a victory for the team from Jeffersontown, Kentucky, as they recorded a 16-6 victory in four innings to become the World Series champs over the North Point Nationals from Alabama.
Jeffersontown struck early, scoring seven runs in the top of the first inning, while they held the Nationals scoreless in the bottom of the first, despite the Alabama team threatening with runners on the corners.
A solo home run added another run for Jeffersontown in the top of the second, but the Nationals began working their way back into the game in the bottom of the inning by scoring four runs.
