Cross Country Sept. 30 - The Jackson County Panthers cross country team turned in a solid performance in Tuesday's meet at Banks County. The girls won the three team meet, with the boys finishing second. Brittany Aikens posted the course record.
Fast Pitch Softball Sept. 30 - The Lady Panthers wrapped up a rough season Tuesday with a 1-0 loss to Elbert County. With the loss, Jackson County closed up their regular season without a region win, and with a 6-24 overall record.
Volleyball Sept. 30 - The Lady Panthers held their own in one match Tuesday and lost in another, as they tied Apalachee 2-2, then dropped their next match 2-0 to Clark Central.

Cross Country Sept. 30 - The East Jackson Eagles cross country teams bested three other teams in competition at a meet at Banks County Tuesday. Eagles boys topped 49 runners, while the girls topped 34 runners.
Softball Sept. 30 - The Lady Eagles added a final region win to their tally Tuesday night with a decisive 3-0 victory over the Jefferson Lady Dragons. The win gave East Jackson a 6-2 region record going into the post season, second only to North Oconee's unbeaten record.
Oct. 1 - With the region pressure off, the Lady Eagles entered Wednesday's regular season closer looking to come out healthy for post season game. That may have helped Loganville, who took the win 8-3. But then, Loganville game in as the leader in their region, with an unbeaten region record.
The Lady Eagles' overall record ended up at 21-7-1.

The Banks County High School cross country teams made a statement recently about how far their respective programs have advanced in recent seasons with first-place showings at Habersham Central High School.
The BCHS Leopards were first with 32 points followed by Johnson High School, Habersham Central, Hart County and Trinity.
Viet Phang turned in a personal best time of 21:08 as did Jared Clark in 25:00.
Jorge Diaz was the top runner for the BCHS boys in 18:29 followed by Ivan Diaz (18:53), Keiffer Hellmeister (20:07), Avery Chastain (20:08), Nathan Holloway (20:33), Simon Hurtado (20:38) and Trey Martin (20:51).
Chastain’s time was also a personal best.
