Last year brought the question of “can the Texans ever win the ‘big’ game?” while this season is raising the question of “can they win a game period?”
It was thought by many that this might finally be the year that Houston would compete for (and possibly win) a Super Bowl, but all of that looks much different now as the season is nearing its conclusion.

The Texans flirted with success back during the final days of Peyton Manning’s stent with the Colts, after his big injury and then his departure to Denver the Texans assumed control of the AFC South. They won two straight divisional titles in 2011 and 2012, being eliminated by the Ravens and Patriots in their most recent playoff appearances.

Houston is undoubtedly one of the most talented teams in the NFL and was poised for another solid season with hopes to not only win another divisional crown but also make it to the Super Bowl – things didn’t go as planned. [Full Story »] 

The only thing that was clear at the end of Saturday night was that Florida State and Auburn would be playing for the 2013 BCS National Title, making it right straight years that an SEC team has played in the BCS Championship.

And of course, should Auburn win that game it will be the eighth straight year that an SEC team has won a national title. It won’ be easy, however, as they will be playing Florida State who might be the biggest test a SEC team has met in the title game over the past seven years.

But after the BCS Title game we were left wondering what the rest of the BCS Bowl games would be. The big one that everyone is talking about is the 100th Rose Bowl which will be between Michigan State and Stanford. [Full Story »] 

Back on Saturday, Oct. 19, the Auburn Tigers traveled to College Station, TX where they defeated Texas A&M 45-41. A&M was ranked No. 7 in the country at that time.

That game brought the Auburn Tigers’ record to a surprising 6-1 record. Especially after the dismal season that Auburn had in 2012 when they were 3-9.

After the Tigers’ upset over the Aggies the question became, “well how good is Auburn really?” and, “will they be able to stay undefeated and beat Alabama at the end of the season?” [Full Story »] 

There are many words that can be used to describe this season for the Georgia Bulldogs, but as Aaron Murray was being helped off the field while not being able to put pressure on his left leg only one word ran through every Georgia fan’s mind — pain.

It has been more than 30 years since Georgia last won a national title and this year, like a few of the years past, the Bulldogs were slated to have a good chance at competing for one.

Coming into the season ranked number 5 in the country, Georgia had a great chance to make it back to Atlanta to compete for an SEC Championship and possibly a National Title as well, but they had a tough time going into Death Valley where they fell to Clemson. [Full Story »]
