The calendar indicates time until the first full season of varsity play for the Bethlehem Christian Academy football team is getting short.
The Knights are set to play their first full season of varsity football beginning in August. BCA competes in the Georgia Independent Schools Association and is a member of Region 1-A.Coach Don Garmon said Sunday the upcoming season will be another step in building a competitive varsity football program.
“We are looking forward to it,” Garmon said. “We have some new kids coming in and we are eager to see what they can do.”
Defensive coordinator Nick Pou is helping oversee summer workouts for the players. Official practice will begin July 30. Garmon said the team will begin in shorts and helmets before working gradually to full contact.
