The Madison County boys’ basketball team plays Friday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. versus Flowery Branch at Flowery Branch High School.

The girls’ varsity squad will host Apalachee at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.

Sports Played At MCHS: Varsity football QB, DB, PR, KR. Played under Dale Smallen in 1997. Won the Most Valuable Player in 1998 under Tom Hybl. Played Junior Varsity in 1995.

Sanders was a point guard on the Raider basketball team under Charles Wilkes in 1997-98. Played under Kenny Walker (1998-99), and played on the Junior Varsity squad in 1995-97.

There are two things seventh grade Mustang Keith Gantt might remember for a long time — one good and one bad.

With 19.1 seconds left to play in the middle school region title game, Gantt’s inbound pass was picked off by a Hart County player who drove down for the layup to give Hart what seemed to be the win. But hold on, Gantt would redeem himself with just one tenth of a second left.
