The road to the state finals had to go through Thomson, and Jefferson – for the second time this year – lost by three touchdowns to the talented Bulldogs. The Dragons (12-2), relegated to playing on the road despite winning a coin flip to host this game, fell to Thomson 27-6 Friday in the state semifinals at the Brickyard. See photos.

“We came out and we gave it everything we had,” senior defensive lineman Will Kellum said. “We messed up in just some key areas. It just cost us the game. It’s as simple as that.”
