The Jefferson Lady Dragons basketball team is still working to find their rhythm and get their legs under them. But if last week is any indication, the team is getting closer to finding their groove, after losing close games to Oconee County and Central Gwinnett in the Tabo’s Tip-Off Tournament at Jefferson.

Up next for the Lady Dragons is a home game against Hart County on Friday. Hart County will enter the contest with a 2-1 record as of Tuesday, having scored 138 points to Jefferson’s 111 to this point in the season. The Lady Bulldogs are also nearly even in total points allowed with the Lady Dragons, having allowed 130 points to be scored against them to Jefferson’s 133.

Hart County has had the edge in the teams’ last four pairings, with the Lady Bulldogs winning in December of 2006, in January of 2007, and in their last meeting back in January of this year. The Lady Dragons’ last win against Hart County came in December of 2007.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Tabo’s Tip-Off Tournament didn’t have the results that the Lady Dragons wanted, but one thing they did find was that they improved over the course of the competition. On Nov. 25, Jefferson lost to Oconee County 32-25. Stephanie Fincher was the leading scorer for Jefferson with 11 points on the game.
