After months of offseason work, the Winder-Barrow High School football team will have the chance to take part in game-like conditions when the Bulldoggs venture to South Forsyth High School Friday.
While the contest is technically a preseason scrimmage, first-year WBHS coach Heath Webb was still busy making preparations Sunday, just as if the event was a game that counted.
“The plan is to play the first three quarters live, just like a real game,” Webb said. “In the fourth quarter, it will be used for a JV contest where we can get our younger players some work.”
There will be no live play on special teams (kickoffs, punts, etc.)
“Our plan is to line up against someone in different colored jerseys and try to win,” Webb said. “We will still be limited in what we do. We will be very basic, but we will try to outscore them.”
