The Jackson County Panthers 2008 season came to a close Friday night with a loss to Stephens County 35-0.
The Indians had entered the game highly favored, with an 8-2 overall record, and 6-1 in the region.
The Panthers end their season 0-7 in the region, with a 1-8-1 overall record.

I think they had on the sidelines 9 lettermen on crutches Friday night, and played the year with only 2 or 3 starting Seniors on any given Friday night. This year's Panther team was overwhelmingly a J.V. team playing a AAA schedule with AA enrollment, yet these young men worked fearlessly hard and deserved and received the admiration of the student body and fans. Good times are coming, and coming soon.
We look forward to the benefit of 19 returning starters next year, and a degree of success that has eluded the Panthers for many years. Go get 'em!
