This week saw the beginning of the longest marathon in all of professional sports – and that is the MLB regular season.
Of all professional sports the MLB has by far the most difficult regular season to follow. 162 games, something that those with short attention spans have difficulty following. This is simply a matter of opinion, but baseball is by far the worst of the big professional sports in America (well at least when comparing regular seasons).
Now, I understand why some would argue that having 162 games (still crazy to me) is better than the amount offered in other sports, but it is so difficult to follow any team in particular for so long. It is hard to imagine that every single one of those 162 games count when so many of them are dropped just because its an off day, but it is ironic how at the same time every single game does matter – in fact, it matters a lot.
