East Jackson opened its Region 8-AAA baseball slate last week with back-to-back losses to Morgan County.
After falling to the Bulldogs 7-0 on Monday, March 24, the Eagles hosted Morgan County for a rematch last Wednesday.
Morgan County took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning, but East Jackson answered in the bottom when Josh Valles drove in Josh Adair on a base hit.
East Jackson took a 2-1 lead in the third inning after capitalizing on a Morgan County error. However, that lead was short-lived as the Bulldogs put up five runs in the following inning. Morgan County scored four more in the sixth and one run in the seventh to put the Eagles away, 11-2.
Robert McKay struck out five batters in five innings.
Josh Valles went two-for-three at the plate with one RBI.
On Monday, the Eagles fell 20-6 to Elbert County at home.
East Jackson emerged from the first inning down 5-4, but after racking up eight runs in the top of the third, the Blue Devils coasted to victory.
Valles and Trey Mimes each drove in a run.
East Jackson (3-11) fell to Elbert County on Tuesday.
