•JACKSON CO. (GIRLS) 2, WINDER-BARROW 1: The Lady Panthers moved to 4-2 on the year with a home win Tuesday, getting goals from Annaleigh Staton and Katie Phillips.
•JACKSON CO. (BOYS) 170, HART CO. 180: York Delloyd led Jackson County to a victory Monday with a one-over par 38 at the par-37 Cateechee course in Hart County. Anthony Whobrey added a two-over-par 39. Trey Evans (46) and Grant Richardson (47) rounded out the scoring.
“We are 2-0 and the men are working hard,” Panther coach Warren Standridge said.
•JACKSON CO. (GIRLS) 152, HART CO. 173: Jackson County’s girls picked up another win Monday with Jordan Garner leading the Lady Panthers with a 49. Hattie Sewell (50) and Haleigh McCullum (53) rounded out the scoring.
•JACKSON CO. (BOYS) 179, EAST JACKSON 208: The Jackson County boys’ golf team downed rival East Jackson by 29 strokes last Wednesday at Traditions of Braselton Golf Club. York Delloyd led the Panthers with a 39, followed by Anthony Whobrey (40), Ian McGaughey (48) and Noah Custer (52). Trey Evans (53) and Devyn Zubler (55) also played but their scores didn’t count.
“We are trying to replace five golfers from last year and are off to a great start,” Jackson County coach Warren Standridge said.
Top scorers for East Jackson were Jake Golob (45), Mason Walker (45), Samuel Benton (59) and Colton Lakicharron (59).
•JACKSON CO. (GIRLS) 140, EAST JACKSON 181: The Lady Panthers won convincingly over their cross-county counterparts with Cierra Gunnin (45), Jordan Garner (47) and Hattie Sewell (48) providing the scoring for Jackson County.
