The Winder-Barrow High School wrestling team ventured to the East Metro Duals Saturday in Loganville and each Mat Bulldogg who competed earned at least one win.
“We are just outclassed right now in some spots,” said coach Jim Stoudenmire. “We are still a year or so out before we become a real legitimate threat. We have seven freshman in our starting lineup right now. If we can keep them all in the lineup the next couple of years then we could be a force to be dealt with.”
Stephen Head, one of the team’s seniors, battled his way to the match for fifth/sixth place. A shoulder injury, however, caused Head to default that match as Stoudenmire did not want to risk further injury.
