Last year brought the question of “can the Texans ever win the ‘big’ game?” while this season is raising the question of “can they win a game period?”
It was thought by many that this might finally be the year that Houston would compete for (and possibly win) a Super Bowl, but all of that looks much different now as the season is nearing its conclusion.
The Texans flirted with success back during the final days of Peyton Manning’s stent with the Colts, after his big injury and then his departure to Denver the Texans assumed control of the AFC South. They won two straight divisional titles in 2011 and 2012, being eliminated by the Ravens and Patriots in their most recent playoff appearances.
Houston is undoubtedly one of the most talented teams in the NFL and was poised for another solid season with hopes to not only win another divisional crown but also make it to the Super Bowl – things didn’t go as planned.
