Mere talent can often times be deceiving. For many years now Carmelo Anthony has been sized up to the likes of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, etc.
But year in and year out Anthony finds a way to disappoint those who have supported him so much throughout his career.
For a long time we wondered if he would ever lead his team to win a playoff series, once he finally conquered that we then began to wonder how long it would take him to make the Conference Finals, the NBA Finals, and so on.
And still, ten years after Anthony was drafted in the same draft as James, Wade, Bosh and others — Melo is still without a title.
When he first came to New York the Knicks’ fans thought that they had finally found the player that was going to return their storied franchise to glory, and at times it seemed that it might have been that way.
