Friday’s 43-24 win against Dawson Street for the Bethlehem Christian Academy football team was a “good night for us,” coach Lance Fendley said.
The Knights (4-4 overall, 2-2 in GISA Region 1-A) used a dominant run game to power their way through the Wildcats in a game played in LaGrange. Senior Mitchell Kamm rushed for 239 yards and three scores on 31 attempts, showing no signs of the leg injury he received the previous week. Senior Ben Morgan had scoring touchdowns of six yards and 35 yards and also rushed for a 6-yard score. Dakota Parten completed five passes for 72 yards and two scores. He finished the night with 13 yards rushing.
“The win says a lot about our kids’ character,” Fendley said. “We had a tough loss the week before against Curtis Baptist. To our credit, we could have folded up the tents. Our assistant coaches do a great job in getting the kids ready.”
