The Winder-Barrow High School football team will seek its first region win of 2013 this week when the Bulldoggs host Loganville High School.
The Red Devils are coming off a dramatic comeback win against Apalachee (see related story in today’s edition) and are trying to remain in contention for the final playoff spot from 8-AAAAA.
WBHS fell to Flowery Branch, one of three teams with a perfect region record, 44-7 last week at W. Clair Harris Stadium.
In the game with the Falcons, the Bulldoggs were hurt by Flowery Branch quarterback Jackson McDonald, who passed for 170 yards and three scores. McDonald also rushed for touchdowns of 4 and 36 yards as the Falcons raced out to a 44-0 lead.
