The trip to state for the Jefferson Lady Dragons volleyball team was a short one, as they lost out early on to Wesleyan 0-3.
“We were excited to be there and accomplished one of our team goals by doing so,” said coach Michael Paul. It’s the second time in the team’s three-year history that they’ve made it to the state tournament.
The set scores against Wesleyan were 11-25, 12-25 and 9-25.
The Lady Dragons’ trip to state competition was the team’s second in only three years of existence.
