Winder-Barrow High School’s football team is now in its bye week and will look to continue to improve in all phases of the game in preparation for the Oct. 4 game at Heritage.
The Bulldoggs (1-3, 0-2) are coming off an unusual game last week against Salem. WBHS led by 10 point at halftime but saw turnovers prove costly as the visiting Seminoles rallied for a 60-37 victory.
“It was a tough, tough loss when you essentially give them 35 points off turnovers,” Bulldogg coach David Wagner said. “I don’t know the words to sum it up. We had some things happen, especially in the second half, that is really impossible to prepare for. You don’t see something happen often to that magnitude.”
