The Winder-Barrow High School cross country teams swept their own invitational Saturday which featured runners representing 17 schools.
“Things went well,” said WBHS coach Michael Lofton. “The event was very successful and we had some good competition.”
Lady Bulldogg freshman Micah Weathers continued her standout debut varsity season by winning the girls race in 19:21.
Weathers easily outdistanced Anna Figueroa of Paideia, who finished in second place in 20:52.
Amber Palmero was third overall for WBHS in 21:08. Rounding out the top five for the Lady Bulldoggs were Sara Carpenter (12th overall, 22:21), Macy Hayes (14th overall, 22:26) and Kiana Perez (23rd overall, 22:52).
