The Leopards are still in the hunt for the first win of the season.
Taking another loss in the season before starting the region schedule was not the plan for Biff Parsons and the Leopards but they will have to buckle down and enter the region schedule without a win. The Leopards scored seven points in the first half against the Tigers. But Commerce took charge and put up 28 points. The regroup effort by the Leopards in the second half kept the Tigers off the board and BCHS added points in an effort to overcome the 21 points they afforded the Tigers in the first half. A field goal and one touchdown put them within reach and a second touchdown that was called back would have given the Leopards hopes of an upset but the clock was the greatest enemy to the Leopards.
Commerce jumped out to a first half lead of 28-7. Banks made a game of it by scoring in the second half and keeping Commerce out of the endzone, but still lost 28-16. Key stat: Commerce held Banks to 4 yards rushing for the entire game.
