The Miami Heat may have trouble with a particular team from New York this season, but it won’t be the New York Knicks. No, it very well may be the Brooklyn Nets.
The recently relocated Nets have had quite a busy offseason. After losing in the first round of last season’s playoffs to the Chicago Bulls they knew that they had a few holes to fill.
Their response was to take part in a mega-trade with the Boston Celtics that saw the Nets ship off Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, and three future first-round picks to get veterans Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jason Terry. A move that communicates one simple message from the Brooklyn Nets — win, win now.
