Every four years the world stops for one month to tune in to their televisions and watch the World Cup. Even in America ,millions tune in to watch their beloved American team and most of the other games as well; but for the rest of the world soccer is generally a year round event.
As Americans, we pretend to care about “the beautiful game” every four years only to see the USA team come up short. Now of course there are a large handful of Americans that love soccer and take their national team very seriously, but for the most part it is only a seasonal excitement when the World Cup rolls around.
Next summer’s World Cup will be held in the beautiful country of Brazil for the first time since 1950, but this summer the world is getting a small taste of what the World Cup will be like next summer with the 2013 Confederations Cup.
