Gresham Motorsports Park will host the Southern Super Series on Saturday, April 27— the Racing Radios 125 presented by Schoenfeld Headers.
The touring series had its first race at Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville on April 6.
GMP will open the gates at 9 a.m. and the trackside and grandstands will open at 11:30. Super Late Models will qualify at 5:30 p.m. followed by a driver autograph session at 5:45 and opening ceremonies at 6:35.
Those attending the Racing Radios 125 can meet the cast of the TV show, “Moonshiners.” Jeff Waldrip, Mark Rogers, Lance Waldrip and Mike Lewis, will be at GMP from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. to sign autographs.
During opening ceremonies, the fastest Super Late Model Pole winner will receive an additional $500. GMP will give away prizes throughout the night, including gift cards, gift certificates, GMP souvenirs and others.
Tickets for the Racing Radios 125 will be $20 for adults, $17 for military and seniors, $15 for school employees and students, and free for children 12 and under.
On Friday, April 26, GMP will hold an open track rental for Super Late Models only. Multiple teams will be allowed to rent the track and the more that show up, the bigger the discount. Track rental will be by the hour (two-hour minimum) with rates based on a per-hour, per-car basis — one car, $150 per-hour; two cars, $75 per hour per car; three to five cars, $60 per hour per car; 6 or more cars, $50 per hour per car. The track will be available from 2 p.m. to 6.
