The coaching bug never really left Brian Moore.
Apalachee High School’s athletic director was able to scratch that itch by coaching his son in recreation play, but there’s an old adage when it comes to the coaching circle: “Preachers preach and coaches coach.” Moore, after several years as AHS athletic director, will return to the football sidelines this fall as an assistant coach at Jefferson High School. The Dragons are the defending Class AA state champions. He will also be the director of instructional technology for the Jefferson City School System.
“It was really about a desire to get back into coaching at the high school level,” Moore told the Barrow Journal. “It was not because of anything negative at Apalachee High School or in the Barrow County School System.”
