Wildcats open play in state tourney Wednesday

The Apalachee High School boys basketball team will begin play in the Class AAAAA state tournament Wednesday on the road.

The Wildcats (17-9) will face New Manchester, the top seed from Region 8-AAAAA in Douglasville at 7 p.m.

AHS finished as the No. 4 seed from Region 8-AAAAA. The New Machester Jaguars are 19-9 overall.
