The weakest area of Jefferson High School’s basketball game suddenly grew to one of the strongest points for the boy’s team this weekend.
The Dragons, led by Kendrick Robinson, sank one free throw after the next against Commerce to help JHS beat cross-town rival, 63-55, at home Friday. The emotionally charged game was followed with another strong showing Saturday in Jefferson as the Dragons lost 61-51 to North Hall (21-2), ranked seventh in the state out of Class AAA teams. See the Feb. 6 edition of the Jackson Herald for the full story and photos of the Jefferson-Commerce clash.
