The Banks County High School varsity girls’ basketball team split games on the road in recent action. The Lady Leopards beat Oglethorpe County 65-27 and lost to Buford 18-55.
BCHS jumped out of the gate and scored twice as many points as Oglethorpe did in the first quarter. Leading 12-6 at the end of the period, the Lady Leopards were ready to push the score even higher in the second quarter and that's exactly what they did.
BCHS scored 26 points to seven in the period and led the game at the half 38-13. The Patriots looking for a way to come back in the game only managed to score two points in the third quarter and the Lady Leopards put the game away scoring 18 points.
