The Mill Creek girls’ varsity cross country team placed tenth at last weekend’s Furman Invitational held in Greenville, S.C.

The Lady Hawks competed against 40 other teams in the event.

Brittany Westmoreland led the Hawks, finishing 18th overall with a time of 20:42. Also competing in Saturday’s race were Alicia Connolly (28th, 21:15), Megan Steinocher (56th, 21:53), Marissa Hinds (101th, 22:39), Heather Peterman (113th, 22:57), Hanna Hill (127th, 23:06) and Megan Steele (128th, 23:06). The team average time was 21:53.

This weekend, the Mill Creek Cross Country teams will compete in the Coach Wood Invitational held in Gainesville at Gainesville College.
