Spratlin leads Knights against Patriots

The Bethlehem Christian Academy boys basketball team defeated Nathanael Greene 50-39 last week.

The Knights were led by Chance Spratlin who scored 16 points, Travis Burchfield finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Niko Mailloux added 12 points and seven boards and the Knights recorded their first Region 1-A win of the season.

“We had great defense once again,” said BCA coach Mark Barth. “We also were able to spread the scoring around for a balanced attack.”

The Knights had a rematch with Gatewood Friday and with the team falling 60-35. Burchfield scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds.

“We got off to a slow start and never recovered,” Barth said.

Gatewood jumped out to a 19-2 lead.

The Knights will return to action Thursday when they travel to region foe Thomas Jefferson for a 7:30 p.m. start.

BCA is currently 4-3 overall and 1-0 in region play.
