Mat Bulldoggs enjoy strong start

With the first area duals now less than a month away, Winder-Barrow High School wrestling coach Jason Austin said Monday he is pleased with where the Mat Bulldoggs are at this point in the season.

“The sids are starting to make their way down to a lower weight class and we are getting our lineup set and ready to go for area duals in a couple of weeks,”

Austin said. “Austin Stewart has really been wrestling well as of late. He has been building some confidence and I see him being a force in the Area this year. Tristan Yaptengco has also been wrestling really well. He has only lost one match this year and is on a path to repeat as area champion.”
