Freeman wins contest on tiebreaker

In the final contest for 2012, Lisa Freeman of Winder was tied with four other contestants last week in the

Barrow Journal football contest, but took the $50 prize after the tiebreaker. Freeman correctly predicted 10-of-12 games in the Nov. 21 contest and had a prediction of 45 points for the tie-breaker game between Georgia and Georgia Tech (52 points were scored between the teams.)

Freeman edged Larry Black, Elaine Moore, Ken Moore and Charles Garrett for first place.

Those with nine correct include Nancy Aloia, Kim Everett, Tommy Thompson, Pam Yarbrough, Barbara A. Miller, Eddie Wallace, Mark Staley and Michael Cameron.

Contestants with eight correct included Tim Husk, Susan White, Louise H. Etheridge, Larry McDaniel, Brandon Shedd, Jimmie Shedd, James Crawford and Tiffany Cooper.

Those with seven correct included Donald Redmon, Martha Yarbrough, Michael McDaniel, Sarah Garrett, Dwight Barnes, Deborah Cooper, Caleb Prickett, Deborah Prickett, Greg Prickett, Sandra Ledbetter and Marvin Ledbetter.
