The Mill Creek volleyball team ended the regular season last Thursday with wins against Meadowcreek and Lakeside.
The Lady Hawks won both matches in two games, beating Meadowcreek by scores of 25-17 and 25-16 and topping Lakeside 25-13 and 25-16.
Mill Creek was led by Lauren Rhodes with 14 kills. Mo Simmons added 13 kills and Ashley Jackson had 33 assists for the evening.
On Tuesday, the Lady Hawks wrapped up area play with wins against Collins Hill and Duluth.
Mill Creek beat Collins Hill in two games by scores of 25-16 and 25-10.
The Lady Hawks lost their first game with Duluth by a score of 23-25, but fought back to take the match with wins in the next two games (25-16, 25-14).
Simmons led Mill Creek with 19 kills and Rhodes added 16. Jackson posted 49 assists for the match.
The Lady Hawks end the regular season 27-13 overall and are ranked third in the area trailing only Norcross and North Gwinnett.
The regional championships begin Thursday at Mill Creek. Matches begin at 4:55 p.m.
