Tigers fall to Paladins 31-21

The Tigers could not catch a break all night, fumbling four times and twice in the red zone.

Terrick Ramsey ran a 18-yard score in for Commerce on its opening drive. The Tigers then quickly forced a Pinecrest punt and began to drive downfield.

Just as momentum began to build for Commerce, they coughed the ball up.
The Paladins quickly capitalized, hitting a 71-yard touchdown pass on a “triple flea flicker” trick play.

Things picked up for Pinecrest in the second quarter, as the Paladins scored two more times putting them up 21-7 at the half.

Pinecrest scored again to start the half, but Commerce answered with another Ramsey scoring run, putting the score at 28-14 heading into the fourth.

Commerce had several scoring opportunities in the fourth, but once again was plagued by fumbles.

Pinecrest eventually kicked a field goal to go up 31-14, more or less sealing the victory for the Paladins.

The Tigers scored once more when Daniel Streetman connected with Jamir Walton on a 3-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth, putting the final score at 31-21.

The Tigers had 158 more total offensive yards than Pinecrest, but were -4 in turnover column.
