JACKSON County Panthers fell to Morgan County 44-28 on the road at the Dog Pound in a region season finale.
This game was crucial for both sides. The Panthers were in search of the third spot in the region and the Bulldogs had a chance at hosting a first round playoff game.
Xavier Harper, shown here earlier in the year, set a Jackson County record with 15 catches Friday against Morgan County. He finished with 135 yards receiving.

The team should be renamed the Jackson County Can Crushers. They haven't beat a single team with a winning record and have lost handily to any team that was one. Congratulations on making the playoffs and for D. Scott reaching a 1,000 yard season, but Cartersville is going to put 50 on them. And yes, I did change my comment name because I just felt like it.

Not sure who you are...but it's obvious you don't have children or maybe you do and they never played any kind of sport. I'm not sure why I'm wasting my time responding to such a negative attitude...all I can say is that I will always support my children no matter if the team they play for is winning or not. As long as they play to the best of their ability, that's all that matters to me. Find somebody else to pick on!

This must be Sindel with a mask. Oh Yea,for your info, dont be talkming crap about JC.s schedule and how bad the teams are, as a matter of fact the combined record of the teams Jefferson has played is 31 wins and 37 loses! Combined record of teams JC has played is 32 wins and 38 loses. Now we know how smart you are. JC plays as tough if not tougher than the mighty Dragons!

GOOD LUCK IN THE PLAYOFFS PANTHERS!!!! Tough night against a very good Morgan team Friday night. Be proud of yourselves for beating the teams you had to, to get in. The teams you lost to were all solid playoff teams themselves. Good luck to all of the 8-AAA playoff teams and to our neighbors across the by-pass at Jefferson.
