Bulldoggs face tough Clarke Central team

The Bulldoggs, fresh off a 31-21 homecoming victory against Cedar Shoals, will try to slow down a fast, athletic Clarke Central Gladiator squad. After starting the Region 8-AAAAA schedule 3-0, Clarke Central has fallen to Heritage, Gainesville and Flowery Branch in its most recent outings.

The Gladiators need to get back on the winning track to remain in playoff contention.

The WBHS offense had its most productive night of the 2012 season last Friday. Chad Platt rushed for 143 yards and two scored on 17 carries while Schotter added 109 yards on 17 attempts. Chandon Sullivan also surpassed the 100-yard mark totaling 103 yards on 17 carries. Sullivan also caught two passes from Christian Hodge, including one for a key touchdown in the final seconds of the first half.

For the season, Platt is now at 545 yards and six touchdowns while Sullivan has 328 yards and scored twice on 64 attempts. Sullivan also has 144 receiving yards.
Defensively, Schotter has now recorded 45 tackles with 29 assists while Bradyn Randall has 40 tackles and 25 assists. Randall had a first-half interception against Cedar Shoals.

Efa Oseugbu has 33 tackles with 16 assists, three tackles for a loss and two quarterback sacks. Jeremy Ramsey has totaled 26 tackles, 24 assists, five tackles for a loss, one sack and one forced fumble.

Kickoff Friday at Billy Henderson Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m.
