Volleyball: Jefferson finishes regular season at 28-13

JEFFERSON’S volleyball team grabbed a pair of Senior Night wins Thursday to close out a 28-13 regular season.

The Dragons, who earned a no. 3 seed for the Area tournament, beat Lakeview Academy 26-24, 25-15 and Cedar Shoals 25-7, 25-10. Sarah Wood led Jefferson with 25 kills, five digs and three aces.

Amanda Flowers finished with 13 kills and eight aces. Grace Williamson led Jefferson in assists with 22. She also had five aces and one kill. Paige Watson finished with 17 assists and four aces.

Others chipping in were Lindsey Nilsen (four kills, two blocks), Hannah Oliver (three kills), Tristan McGarity (two kills), Avery Mixon (four aces) and Daniela Franco (one ace).
