•What else: This is only the fifth meeting of these schools, whose stadiums are about a mile apart. However, this is the third-straight years the teams have played. Jackson County and Jefferson resumed this series in 2010 after a 25-year hiatus ... Unlike the 2010 and 2011 games, this is a non-region match-up since Jackson County is now in 8-AAA and Jefferson remained in 8-AA ... Jackson County picked up a 21-10 win over Winder-Barrow last week in coach Benji Harrison’s debut ... Panther quarterback Kyle Daniel is coming off a two-touchdown performance last week. He conneccted both times with Ben Brissey on the scoring strikes ... Jefferson saw its five-game winning streak against Commerce snapped last week, losing 22-7.
