Colt Green has been named as the new recreation director for the City of Jefferson.

City manager John Ward announced Monday that Green had been named as recreation director after a month-long process. He was selected from 27 applicants

Green has served as athletic director for Jefferson Parks and Recreation since January 2006. He has a bachelor’s of science in education degree from the University of Georgia.

Green is a certified park and recreation professional and a certified youth sports administrator.
