4-Stakes Horseshoes is about to wrap up its 2012 Spring League.
The club will hold a two-week tournament June 19 and 26, before taking off July 3 and starting up the fall league July 10.
“This would be a great time for any new pitchers interested to get started at the beginning of a new league,” organizers said.
Results from June 5 are as follows: Jerry Morris (Commerce) won high game with a 116, Morris was also the only player to win all three of his games last week. Players winning two out three were: Coni Hix, Tanya Coile and Taylor Coile (all from Comer), Bobby Jordan (Colbert), Tim King (Watkinsville), David Edge (Braselton), Chris McCarty (Colbert), and Maria McIntyre (Lula).
“Coni Hix has pretty much got the League Championship wrapped up, she has a three game lead with only three games to play,” organizers said. “It is a pretty tight battle for League Runner up, between Jerry Wingfield (Athens), Bobby Jordan (Colbert) and Jeff Coile (Comer), all three are separated by only 1.5 games.”
With one week left to play the top ten in the standings are:
•1st Coni Hix (Comer) 19.5 wins
•2nd Jerry Wingfield (Athens) 16.5 wins
•3rd Bobby Jordan (Colbert) 15.5 wins
•4th Jeff Coile (Comer) 15 wins
•5th Trace Mason (Danielsville) 13.5 wins
