Kendall Isler finished as sectional co-champion in the high jump to help lead the contingent of Winder-Barrow High School athletes Saturday in Augusta.
Isler is one of seven WBHS track athletes who have qualified for state. The senior had his best mark at 6-2 which tied Ontario Williams of Effingham County.
They both came in at 5-10 after they cleared on their first attempt. The two then cleared 6-0 on the first attempt and then cleared 6-2 on their second attempt. Ties are only broken for eighth place or ninth and 10th place, WBHS track coach Jennifer Blevins said.
