Golf: JHS boys shoot 370 at region

JEFFERSON’S boys’ golf team shot a 370 Tuesday at the Region 8-AA meet, led by Blair Cain’s round of 84.

The Dragons did not qualify for state.

Others scoring were Daniel Kimmel (92), Eli Griffin (97) and Andrew Thompson (97).

Monday, April 23

Golf: Jefferson girls shoot 205 at region

JEFFERSON’s Hanna Chapman shot a 96 Monday at the Region 8-AA tournament to lead the Lady Dragons, who finished with a 205.

Anna Alexander rounded out the scoring with a 109.

Golf: JCCHS girls’ season ends at region

THE JACKSON County girls’ golf team shot a 229 at the Region 8-AA tournament Monday as its season came to an end.
Haleigh McCullum led the Lady Panthers with a 114. Beth Bates and Jordan Garner both shot rounds of 115.

Thursday, April 19

Golf: Jefferson boys, girls win regular season finale

JEFFERSON’s Blair Cain shot a 40 Thursday to lead the Dragon golf team to a 184-206 win over Banks County at Scales Creek in Jefferson’s regular season finale.

Rounding out the scoring were Daniel Kimmel (41), Andrew Thompson (49), Hunt Hayes (54) and Connor Paul (54).

Jefferson finished the regular season at 7-6.

The Jefferson girls also picked up a victory, beating Banks County 92-101. Anna Alexander led Jefferson with a 44, and Hanna Chapman added a 48. The Lady Dragons also finished the season at 7-6.
